Formed in 2024, Ale Thieves are made up of Blues-fuelled Moan Red and Alt-Folk Singer Nyree Williams. Two front-people inspired by the sensuality and expression of Rock n Roll performers such as Jimi Hendrix and Lucinda Williams.
Imagine PJ Harvey, Billy Bragg and CMAT swapping stories in an old London boozer, and you’ll be starting to get an idea of what they’re all about.

Ale Thieves made their festival debut at Wild Paths Norwich in October 2025 and more recently supported Alexander Carson (6music) at Green Note, Camden. They are gearing up to release music in 2026 after recording with Jim Lowe (Stereophonics, the K’s) back in February.
